Ajo Veterinary Clinic can dispense needed medications during your visit or provide you with a written prescription. If you prefer, we can call in a prescription to a pharmacy of your choice. For even more convenience, we have now opened an online store and pharmacy where you can obtain prescribed medications, any pre-approved refills, specialty diets, and other pet products. These will be shipped to your home. It is an easy transition for us to transfer regularly filled prescriptions to our online pharmacy, all you need to do is contact us. We can have prescriptions for many drugs compounded at this pharmacy, or other compounding pharmacies, with flavors that make them more acceptable to your fussy or hard to medicate pet and/or in doses appropriate for your small pet. A few drugs can be compounded so they can be absorbed after being applied to the skin in an appropriate form. A prescription of any type requires a doctor-patient relationship with your pet and that your pet has been seen for the current problem or within the previous year for chronic problems.
We have chosen Vets First Choice for our online pharmacy as it provides guarantees that all products are authentic because of their relationship with the manufacturers. Many low-cost online pharmacies, some not even in the United States though advertising to be so, do not guarantee their products and often counterfeit drugs make their way into the supply pipelines and are difficult to tell from the real ones, even for an experienced pharmacist.
