Ajo Veterinary Clinic opened its doors in 1973 at its current location in Southwest Tucson. Over the years the number of clients has grown along with our passion for advanced veterinary care, but we have remained locally owned. At every visit we want to meet your pet’s medical needs along with providing compassionate care. Our clinic team is highly trained and takes pride in continuing their education to stay up to date with the most recent medical advances.
Ajo Veterinary Clinic is proud to be AAHA-accredited, a distinction earned by only a small percentage of veterinary hospitals. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation process is voluntary and requires us to meet rigorous standards that go above and beyond what is legally required—covering areas like patient care, anesthesia and pain management, surgery, infection control, medical recordkeeping, pharmacy safety, and overall hospital practices. For us, AAHA accreditation isn’t just a badge—it reflects our commitment to consistent, high-quality medicine and a safer, better experience for every pet and pet owner who walks through our doors.

In addition to providing medical care, Ajo Veterinary Clinic supports the placement of homeless animals and educating clients about spaying and neutering your pet. Our team gives their time to community causes such as the JTED program and the Tucson chapter of the Street Dog Coalition in addition to sponsoring numerous community events.
