Ajo Veterinary Clinic has excellent digital imaging facilities for both standard X-ray and dental X-ray. This allows on site diagnosis of many conditions. We have the capability to refer your pet for more advanced imaging by Ultra sound, CT scan or MRI, if needed. A selection of our radiographs are reviewed by a boarded veterinary radiologist for quality, and diagnostics on a monthly basis.
All dental cases have full mouth radiographs taken to assure that disease processes below the gum line aren’t missed and left untreated. This is the area were the worst problems develop. Especially dental abscesses which are very painful and often lead to blood borne infections that affect other organs. Undetected and untreated abscesses can lead to infections of the heart valves, kidneys and prostate. These complications can be life threatening.
